Vicky Kaushal was last seen as Kapil Dubey in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and now he has transformed himself into Bhajan Kumar for his upcoming film The Great Indian Family (TGIF)!, which is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. He is known for his films like Dhoom 3 and Thugs of Hindostan. The makers also released the first song from the film, called Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aaja. It has been sung by Nakash Aziz, penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and composed by Pritam.
Talking about his character, he said, “I play a singing star named Bhajan Kumar in our quirky family entertainer The Great Indian Family and we decided to have some fun before we actually revealed the fact that I was playing this character in the film!”
“As an actor, I love to bring smiles to the faces of people and I hope I was able to achieve it. So, now the cat’s out of the bag! I hope people love my new avatar in TGIF. I’m eager to see how Bhajan Kumar is received by audiences. I know I have poured my heart into bringing him to life on the big screen,” he added.
Speaking further about the title of the film, he mentioned, “Every Indian family qualifies for The Great Indian Family. My

(aunt) calls me on every birthday and tells me that she was there when I was born but my father wasn’t there.

Meri family aisi hi hai. Hamara pyaar jataane ka tareeka is haq jamana.”

And talking about his singing abilities, he said that he is a fabulous singer. “I’m such a fabulous singer that I can empty the room in no time (laughs). I’m strictly a bathroom singer and I have conducted many concerts there but I sing with abandon and from the heart.”
TGIF is set to release worldwide on September 22nd.
