Featuring Shilpa Shetty in and as ‘Sukhee’ the trailer opens with the tale of a woman who is grinding hard to be the perfect wife, daughter-in-law, and mother. She hardly gets any time for herself, and works day in and out without being appreciated for her efforts. But the plot takes a twist when she decides to take a break from her monotonous life and goes from Punjab to Delhi for her school reunion. On one hand, when Sukhee relives some pages from her old life, her family in Punjab understands what a mess their lives can be without that one woman.

Netizens seem to be relating to the movie already. Shilpa Shetty has shared the trailer on her social media handle, on which one of the netizens has commented – “This is the sad truth of Indian women! Shaadi ke baad sirf sab ke liye karna jheena hai apne liye kuch karo toh guilt paida karte hai log !” Another user wrote – “The importance of a break in a woman’s life !!”

Directed by Sonal Joshi, the movie has been written by Radhika Anand. Further, alongside Shilpa Shetty, the movie stars Kusha Kapila, Amit Sadh, Pavleen Gujral, Jyoti Kapoor Dilnaz Irani, Chaitannya Choudhry, and more. It is slated to be released on September 22.
Shilpa Shetty will also be seen playing the first female cop in Rohit Shetty’s cop-verse. The series is titled ‘Indian Police Force.’
