According to reports, Kartik and Karan met for a professional meeting. Earlier, they were also seen together at the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne where everything looked fine between them.
In June this year, SatyaPrem Ki Katha hit theatres, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The movie, directed by Sameer Sanjay Vidwans, is about two individuals who get married by a stroke of luck. After a successful run at the box office, the movie has dropped on OTT
Earlier also, on Arbaaz Khan’s show, Karan shared how he had a problem with people making the ‘gay’ word sound ‘bad’. Karan went on to say that it is his prerogative to talk about his life, his sexuality, his orientation.
Not only this, but both of them also hinted that they were keen on collaborating once again for another project. When questioned about their potential collaboration, Karan Johar shared, “We gave one attempt and for various reasons, it didn’t fructify and we have been in conversation to do something. Hopefully, this one will materialise. It’s something we are very excited about.”
Karan Johar also spoke highly about Kartik Aaryan at the press conference. He said, “Kartik’s films have resonated deeply with the country and he has given films that brought people back to the theatres. More power to him. May his contribution to cinema always be (given dues).”
This comes after the duo had a fallout in 2021 while working together on ‘Dostana 2‘. In an old interview with ETimes, Kartik Aaryan had gracefully addressed the situation, saying, “This happens sometimes. I haven’t spoken about this before. I believe in what my mother has taught me and these are my values too… when there’s an altercation between two people, the younger one should never speak about it. I follow that and hence I never speak about it.”
Kartik was last seen in ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha‘ co-starring Kiara Advani in the lead role. Karan, on the other hand, is basking on the super success of his latest directorial, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani‘, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.
