Kailash Kher recalls how he was replaced by Sukhwinder Singh in Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji’s Chalte Chalte: ‘Bade aadmi bhi choti harkat karte hain’ | Hindi Movie News

Kailash Kher recently opened up about being replaced by Sukhwinder Singh in Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji‘s Chalte Chalte and how the incident proved to be an eye-opener and taught him not to get too attached to the film industry.
Recalling his setback, Kailash told Bollywood Thikana that he was called to sing a song written by Javed Akhtar in the 2003 Aziz Mirza directorial. He thought that if such a big director is calling him, it would be something meaningful.
“These are big names who are calling. So, I went there and sang a song. Gaana bhi ek dum aise kushti vala (The song was also just like wrestling). It took a lot of effort to sing it,” he said.It came to him as a shock when the first audio CD of Chalte Chalte was released and it didn’t have his name on it. The song Layi Vi Na Gayi was credited to Sukhwinder Singh as the singer.
“That is when I got the first setback. I thought, ‘Bade aadmi bhi choti harkat karte hain (Even big people do such small things).’ They made some other singer sing the song,” he added.
On the work front, Kailash collaborated with music composer Pranaay for the song Ho Tayyar from OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in lead roles.
