In an interview with India Today, Ridhi said that she did Tiger 3 for Maneesh (Sharma), the director. She added that she has a lot of love and respect for him and has known him even before she became an actor. She further revealed that she met Maneesh long back when they were all just figuring out their paths as he was one of her first friends in Mumbai.
Coming back to Jawan, in the same interview, Ridhi also said that her biggest compliment was from SRK himself during the movie promotions. Sharing her excitement, Ridhi opened up that people are showering her with praises and telling that her time has finally come and these are all the results of her hard work. Ridhi is determined to make the most out of all the positive responses she is getting for her role in ‘Jawan’.
She further said that during that period she was deeply engrossed in several web series where she portrayed significant characters. It was during this phase that she received an offer for the character of Kaveri. As a devoted student of cinema, the news that Atlee expressed interest in meeting her, held great significance. Although the crew had already commenced filming, Atlee summoned her to the set, with SRK actively engaged in his scenes.
Ridhi further said that the fact that a director of Atlee’s stature spared time to meet her, weighed heavily on her decision to take up the role of Kaveri.
