Recently, there were speculations that Inshallah was being revived with the same cast.Amid the rumours,Prerna Singh, CEO of Bhansali Productions, has shared an update on the same.
When asked about the possibility of reviving Inshallah, she told India Today that it was a very good story and if the calling comes, it will happen. She also added that there are no immediate plans as of now. “The idea is here. It is all his idea and it is ready. It has to come naturally and has to come from within… that now I want to make this,” she said.Meanwhile, Bhansali’s last directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi won five National Film Awards, including best actress honour for Alia Bhatt. Bhansali won two awards – for best screenplay writer (adapted) along with Utkarshini Vashishtha and best editing for the film. The film’s other awards were for best dialogue writer for Vashishtha and Prakash Kapadia and best make-up artist for Preetisheel Singh D’souza.
The magnum opus featured Bhatt in the title role of Gangubai, one of the most powerful, loved and respected madams from Kamathipura during the 1960s. The film’s star cast also included Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, Seema Pahwa and Jim Sarbh.
