Film producer Mukesh Udeshi breathed his last in Chennai on Monday evening (September 11). He is survived by his wife and his son Avi Udeshi.
Mukesh has been producing films and line producer for Mauritius for several Hindi films. He had co-produced Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Kaun’ starring Urmila Matondkar and Manoj Bajpayee. He has also produced Allu Arvind’s films starring Chiranjeevi.
Spilling some beans about the late producer’s health, senior producer and close friend Pravesh Sippy said, “He was preparing for a kidney transplant in Chennai where Allu Arvind was taking care of him. However, unfortunately he passed away a few days before the operation.”
Mukesh Udeshi has also been line producer for most of Bollywood films which were shot in Mauritius. Some of the films include ‘Ek Villain‘, ‘Himmatwala’, ‘Chashme Baddoor‘, ‘Go Goa Gone‘ and others.
