In an interview, Ayushmann mentioned how, in the last three months, mid- and small-budget films have also been running successfully. Earlier, people used to feel that only big-ticket films would be able to run. He also applauded the decision of the makers of ‘Dream Girl 2’ to release the film between Jawan and Gadar 2, which made a space for itself.
In less than seven days, Shah Rukh Khan will be arriving with his Jawan, and on Wednesday night, he had a grand music launch for the film, which has sent the expectations sky high. Till Jawan releases, the field is open for Ayushmann Khurrana’s star to make the most of it. As with Jawan, releasing the locations would drastically reduce the number of screens. As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film is expected to end its box office run with 80 crore, which it should reach as it did manage to brave the Gadar 2 onslaught in its opening weekend.
Gadar 2 is also showing no signs to slowing down, the film also made Rs 4.5 crore on Monday and has managed to take it’s grand total to Rs 475 it has already beaten KGF 2 to become the third highest grossing hindi film , it is only behind Pathaan and Baahubali 2- The Conclusion.
On the work front Ayushmann now has a film called ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’ with his Bala director Amar Kaushik lined up, which will also see his pairing with his brother Aparshakti Khurrana.
