Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan share a bond that goes beyond their on-screen collaborations. They have been each other’s pillars of support in times of success and challenges and their friendship serves as an inspiration to aspiring actors and fans alike. She recently opened up about her equation with SRK and it is a heartwarming reminder of their genuine connection.
She told The Week that they are beyond being each other’s lucky charm as they have a sense of ownership over each other.She said that she is one of the few people SRK is vulnerable with and there’s a lot of trust and respect between them. She feels that luck is just the cherry on the top.
Deepika is currently seen playing the role of SRK’s wife who appears in a flashback portion of the Atlee directorial Jawan. Their on-screen chemistry have been loved by the fans. Earlier, Deepika shared screen space with SRK in the Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan which made over Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
Speaking about Pathaan being the first Hindi film to cross Rs 1000 crore mark, Deepika said that she has never been fascinated by numbers whether it was Maths in school or the numbers of Pathaan. She was just happy and grateful that cinemas and people had come alive again.
Deepika and SRK’s professional journey together began with the 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om, directed by Farah Khan. This film marked Deepika’s debut in Bollywood, and it was Shah Rukh Khan who played a pivotal role in launching her career.
On the work front, Deepika will be next seen in Fighter which will also star Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. She also has Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas.
