Amitabh Bachchan calls out neglectful commentators, lauds Indian men’s 4x400m relay team | Hindi Movie News

Amitabh Bachchan is an ardent sports lover and makes sure he witnesses most sports tournaments – be it cricket, football or kabaddi. The Indian men’s 4×400 relay squad saw the team setting a new Asian record during the semi-finals. The team included Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal Variyathodi and Rajesh Ramesh. They created a new record with the time of 2.59.05 seconds, and beat the previous record held by a Japanese team.
Anand Mahindra had shared this video as he lauded the Indian team.He wrote, “What? When? Where? An Indian men’s 4×400 relay team qualifying for the finals in the World Athletics Championship? Looks like everyone is shooting for the moon now… Look at them run…Our Cheetahs….”
Bachchan retweeted his tweet and said, “And India .. JAI HIND .. !!!! congratulations from the entire WORLD .. and just hear the commentary .. not a word for the Indian Team .. all about the 3rd and the 4th .. when we have made to the qualifiers by coming a very very close 2nd.”

Clearly, Bachchan being a true Indian wasn’t quite happy with neglectful, biased behaviour of the commentators and called it out. Interestingly, Big B was also recently seen as a commentator in ‘Ghoomer‘ which starred Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher. While Bachchan had a cameo in the film, he certainly remained one of the major highlights of the movie!
‘Ghoomer’ revolved around Saiyami Kher’ character Anina who loses her right arm in an accident. She then trains under Abhishek Bachchan (Paddy sir) who coaches her to to play for India and she she shines, thus setting some major inspiration for many.
Meanwhile, after this cameo in ‘Ghoomer’, Big B will be seen next in Kalki 2898 AD. The film made by Nag Ashwin also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. At the moment, Bachchan is busy shooting for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’.
