Reacting to Anil’s statement about Sakeena’s character, Ameesha confessed that her relationship with the director was never good even during Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. However, she mentioned that Anil is family to her and always will be even if they don’t get along.
Ameesha then stated that the character of Sakeena was created by the film’s writer Shaktiman and she was cast by Zee and not by Anil Sharma. She told News18 that she was in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha because of producer Nitin Kenny otherwise Anil Sharma had preferred Mamta Kulkarni over her.
She also revealed that Anil wanted to cast Govinda as Tara Singh but Zee insisted on casting Sunny Deol. She admitted that her and Anil’s choices have been poles apart. And Zee Studios and Sunny have always been the reason for her to do Gadar.
Talking about her tweets on pending dues, Ameesha said that it was Anil who requested her to delete those tweets, adding that she has his chat as proof. He requested her business partner to delete the tweets and also tweets about Simrat Kaur and her explicit videos of adult films that went viral. She stressed that she deleted them on his request since Anil is family to her. She said that she also his chats about the pending dues that he owed to many technicians.
Ameesha further said that she also has chats of Zee Studios who were shocked to see Anil’s way of handling the production and added that it was Zee who resolved all the issues. She also has loads of videos of Anil as well where he has committed various things to her, which he also didn’t fulfill. She said that in case Anil Sharma denies it, she can always help him out by showing the chats and videos.
She then concluded by saying that no matter how much they have fought over the past 23 years, he will always be family to her. She also said that she stands by her statement that she won’t do Gadar 3 if Sakeena has no key role alongside Tara Singh in the film.
