Abhishek Bachchan mourns the loss of ‘Happy New Year’ co-star Rio Kapadia, reveals he was a good painter | Hindi Movie News

Actor Rio Kapadia passed away on September 14 at the age of 66. He succumbed to death after a long battle with cancer. Rio’s friend Faisal Malik confirmed the news and said that he passed away at 12 30 pm on September 14. Rio was seen in movies like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Chak De! India’. He was also a part of ‘Happy New Year‘ and shared screen space with Abhishek Bachchan in ‘The Big Bull‘ as well.Having worked with him in two movies, Abhishek mourned the loss of his co-star. Rio was a very good painter and Abhishek revealed he also has some of his sketches.
Bachchan took to social media and he wrote, “Was very sad to read of the passing of Rio Kapadia. We worked together on Happy New Year and The Big Bull. Most gentle, articulate and caring. He was also a wonderful painter. I have many of his sketches. You will be remembered very fondly, sir. My condolences to his family and friends. πŸ™πŸ½”

Interestingly, Rio had also shared some of his sketches on social media. He had once shared a sketch of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He had shared it with the caption, “Through thick and thin #storm and #dust They are together. As we all must!! Here is my #tribute through my #art #pencilsketch #bollywood”
He had also made a sketch of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan once. He shared it and captioned his post as, “I see a lot of Aishwarya. Thought I will show u folks one of my latest too.”
Rio’s last post was from his family trip to Paris and Switzerland. The actor was also known for popular television shows like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.
